ABOUT

THE OVERVIEW AND HISTORY

MISSION:

A world-class destination weekend celebrating arts, culture, health and beauty.

GOAL:

We aim to host a series of engaging and uplifting experiences that celebrate the rich diversity of arts and culture within central Ohio and beyond, and raise funds to benefit the Columbus Kappa Foundation.

HISTORY:

This celebration weekend serves as the 25th anniversary of this CKF fundraising initiative. This year, we’ve evolved our “SIP” into a weekend experience.  A weekend with more friends to celebrate and more opportunities to harvest the spirit of the original event. The first SIP was held in the gardens of Franklin Park Conservatory in 1992 by the proud members of the Columbus Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

FUNDRAISING PURPOSE:

Scholarships for college bound, under-served male youth through the Kenneth L. Howard Scholarship Fund. Support for many community service projects, Guide Right Mentorship Initiatives, The Fatherhood Matters Program, The Annual Turkey and Toy Drives, Health and Wellness Seminars and other projects to enrich and empower our community.
